The umbrella body for all frozen and seafood dealers known as Scale Frozen Foods Association, has celebrated its (10th) tenth year anniversary, the event which was attended by members from all the zones, such as Borehole zone,Ago Adura zone,Ali Ishiba zone, Oju Ore zone and Mothers Joy zone was also used as a forum to celebrate all the partners, stakeholders, friends and families of the members of the body.
Speaking with newsmen at the event, the president of the association Mrs.Adebola Adeyemo who is also the Managing Director of Jacdeb Nigeria limited said the association has been waxing strong and moving from strength to strength, the organization started with only one zone but has now metamorphosed into about six zones and that they have also been able to create a cooperative organization so as to assist members with funding for their businesses.
She also said the association embarks on rallies and other activities to sensitize unregistered members on the benefits of joining the association, they also pay visit to orphanages and the less privileged where they make heavy donation of cash,groceries and household goods.
Continuing, she said their major challenges remain unstable electricity supply, because they can not do their business without power supply which affects their products and make them to lose so much money when it is not supplied.
She further called on the government to create an enabling environment for their businesses to thrive and also create favourable policies that will make more investors to invest in the business.
She also debunked the rumour and notion that imported frozen products are injurious to health, but rather a gimmick and strategy been employed by the Nigerian poultry producers to dissuade people from patronizing the imported poultry products.
