Governor Ambode commended for light up Lagos initiatives


The executive governor of Lagos state Akinwunmi Ambode has been commended for his initiative to light up Lagos, most especially the Lagos Abeokuta express way,the commendation was given by Alhaji monsuru Shoaga an oil and gas expert at the commissioning of street illumination of federal roads from Ile Zik to Sango otta old toll gate under the “light up Lagos” initiative, the event which was witnessed by a mammoth crowd of both lagosians and the residents of Ogun State at the old toll gate also had in attendance the senator representing the Lagos West senatorial district Sen.Olamilekan Adeola,the commissioner for energy and mineral resources Mr.Olawale Oluwo,the executive secretary of Agbado – Oke Odo LCDA and the executive Secretary of Ojokoro LCDA Hon.FAUSAT Hassan Olajoku,traditional rulers,CDA chairmen, market men and women, politicians, stakeholders and other well meaning individuals.

Alhaji Monsuru Shoaga also pleaded with his excellency Gov.Akinwunmi Ambode to provide security, traffic officials at the old toll gate so as to minimize the effects of the traffic congestion inwards Sango Otta and other social amenities, just as he has promised during his electioneering campaign.

Also speaking at the commissioning is Akeem Adenekan a welding construction expert who praised the efforts of the governor at giving out jobs and contracts to local experts instead of their foreign counterparts, further more he said other governor’s such as Sen.Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State should emulate and follow the foot path of the Lagos governor,so that he can always make use of local expertise so that they too can contribute their own little quota to the development and upliftment of the society
He said local experts have the know how and expertise to match their foreign counterparts in every department, and also for them to provide employment to the teeming youths who are eager to work and better their lives, families and the society.
