WCOS Board Member, Adenike Victor-Tade Felicitates With Nigerians At Easter

As Nigeria and the rest of the world celebrate Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ today, board member of Oyo state Water Corporation, Rev. Dr. Adenike Victor-Tade, have called for peace, tolerance, justice and forgiveness, among other things.

Former aspirant from Advanced Allied Party in the 2019 gubernatorial election in Oyo State, Adenike Victor-Tade, congratulated the Christian community in Oyo state and Nigeria as whole on the Easter celebration, and added that the celebrations are a worthy finale to the period of fasting, prayer and self-denial which they had gone through in the past 40 days of Lent.

In a press statement released by her Media Office, the now a board member under Gov. Seyi Makinde’s administration urged the faithful Christian and Nigerians of other faiths, to see the sacrifice and deprivation of the period preceding Easter as similar to the sacrifice and perseverance which the present economic difficulties has imposed on all Nigerians and which would finally terminate with celebration and merry-making when the difficult period is over.

In her statement, Mama Empowerment urged Nigerians to use the occasion of the Easter celebration to rededicate themselves to the virtues of justice, forgiveness, and reconciliation, which she said were the essences of the ministry of Jesus Christ on earth. “No nation would make progress unless the people were willing to forgive the past, reconcile their differences, and enthrone justice for all, irrespective of their religious, ethnic, and political backgrounds.

She stressed that injustice and unforgiveness were utterly slowing down the nation’s progress, and urged Nigerians to continue to uphold their faith in the nation’s democracy, while also praying for the nation’s speedy exit from the current economic difficulties.

Expounding further, her popular foundation; ‘Olorun Ajulo’ from the stable of Total Life In Christ Ministry, a scheme which is known for empowering youths to cushion the negative effects of unemployment, poverty, crime, and other social vices among the youths in Nigeria. She said, “The organization is set to give out scholarships to 200 students in the impending youth program; as the all night event will come up on Friday 8th, July 2022, at the prestigious Felicia Hall, Jogor centre, Ibadan.

However, Mama Empowerment also indicates her decision and plans for the forthcoming 2023 election in Oyo state; tells her proponents to be steadfast and get ready, as her resolutions would soon be conveyed to the public.

The Reverend and astute politician opined all Nigerians to get their voters card as to be able to perform their civic right. “You cannot be grouchy about Nigeria’s situation when you don’t pay tax or you don’t have a voter’s card. If we truly desire a change, we must all participate in politics. However, let us learn from the pain, joy, love and caring which characterize the period of Lent and the Easter celebration, and allow these virtues to continuously guide us as a people in our individual and community relationships.

A door-to-door attitude built on selflessness, love and sacrifice would go a long way in laying the foundation of true patriotism and greatness of the nation. She concluded.
