He also shared with us some of the secrets behind the movie ‘Ikemba’.

On why the movie, Ikemba? The ebony looking producer said; “If you look at our situation in the world, Africans are seen as backward people but if you look at it critically, we are not the reason for our backwardness, people are making us remain backward and these are people trying to portray us as backward people.

Look at our resources, they created discord between us, milk our resources, manipulate our electoral system and put people against our own wish.

Ikemba will send the message that we are not the reason for our backwardness, Africans are wonderful people but the media portrays us as bad.

Because we are black skinned doesn’t mean we have a black heart, we are cool and wonderful people, we are not what people think we are.

So, the earlier we tell the younger generation that we have to change this narrative, the better, if only they would realize who they are, that will can produce want we want, that we can be truly independent rather than relying on foreign assistance on whatever we want to do; that is what Ikemba is trying to do.”

Speaking about how he was able to gather all the stars in the movie and how much the movie cost; JamaGold revealed that over 200 million naira was spent already and that it has not stopped.

“We spent over N200 million for this project, we shot it for more than two months. I partnered with my friend, Azuka Nwosu. We opened a company named Ajatel, (Azuka and James Tel) contributing money till we were able to reach here, it took us a lot but by the grace of God, we are celebrating it today.”

Looking at the economic situation of the world at the moment, the hardworking producer also hinted on how the Ajatel planned to recoup their production money.

He said; “If I must tell you the truth, its not about the gains, its about the passion, its about the message. I know we are going to get the money back because no platform will reject the movie and even make gains on it in multiple folds.”

Is Ikemba his first movie? JamaGold said no! Ikemba is not his first movie; saying, “I have been making movies for the past 15 years, but this is my biggest so far.

On when ikemba going to be released officially.
