Women of Oke Ogun indigenes resident in Lagos and operating under the banner of Oke Ogun women association has called on the governor of Oyo state Senator Abiola Ajimobi to come to their aid in the area of landed property acquisition for the use of their members and other non members alike and also to provide empowerment for the women as well because women are the pillars of the society upon which the families are standing.
Speaking at the 4th anniversary and launching of the associations year 2017 calendar, the Vice President of the Oke Ogun women Association Madam Oluwatoyin Odebisi who spoke on behalf of the President Mrs Adenike A.Ayinde said the association was formed in 2013 to help galvanize the Oke Ogun women residents in Lagos, so as to uplift the women and the name of Oke Ogun in general.
The association was also formed with the aim of helping the women of Oke Ogun in raising funds for members who are in need of finance and to also institute interest free loan for members to sustain their businesses and trade.
She commended every body who made it to the event and most especially the patron of the association Mr Adediran I.Tajudeen for his magnanimity to the association and also been a pillar of support to the association since his appointment as the patron.
