Lagos State Police Command Patrol Operative team attached to Surulere division while on patrol late
night on Wednesday, 16th March, 2016 arrested one Happiness Uma ‘M’ 26 for stealing 12 months baby.
The arrest came at about 23:15hrs when the police are on routine patrol at Eric Moore, Surulere, Lagos intercepted him.
When Uma was asked how he came about the baby he couldn’t give satisfactory answer. His first answer was the baby belong to him and when pressed further he then said he picked baby in the bush crying.
The patrol team then arrested him and took him to near by station.
The command spokesperson, SP Dolapo Badmos confirm the arrest and said the baby and the suspect would be handed over to command Gender Unit where cases concern women and children are been handled for further investigation.
She then warn all perpetrators of this act that the command will continue be on the prowl.
