Oguntolu community, which is one of the viable and boisterous communities in Ijaiye-Ojokoro under Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA of Lagos state has gotten a new Baale after a very long time of the demise of the previous Baale.
The Alajasa of Ajasa kingdom H.R.M. Oba Suberu Odualabe has crowned a new Baale for the community in the person of Engr. (Chief) Gbolahan Olusegun Oguntolu.
Engr. Chief Gbolahan Oguntolu who is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (N.S.E.) and a fellow of the Council of Registered Engineers in Nigeria (COREN) and as also served the country meritoriously graciously accepted to be the Baale and contribute his own quota to the growth of the community that was founded in the year 1911 by his great grand father who was also instrumental to the establishment of the Holy Trinity African Church in Ijaiye Ojokoro and the establishment of the C&S Church founded by his friend Saint Moses Orimolade Tunolase also in the community.
In a chat with journalist’s, he said he will continue to uplift the community and also continue to attract development and infrastructures to the community just like he has been doing ever before he became the Baale.
He however called on the government of His Excellency Akinwunmi Ambode to expedite action on the new law recently passed by the Lagos state House of Assembly on the banning of the illegal activities of land grabbers and land speculators better known as Omo Oniles,who go about grabbing and selling people’s land illegally and arbitrarily and also disturbing the peace of the society.
Further more,he called on his subjects to embrace peace,good neighbourliness,be law abiding, contribute to the growth of the community and above all pay their taxes to the government so as to ensure even development of infrastructures across the state.
Lastly,he thanked the Alajasa of Ajasa kingdom H.R M Oba Suberu Odualabe for deeming it fit and worthy to crown him as the new Baale of his ancestral land,Oguntolu community.
