‘’We have been restricted because of the nature of the pandemic, it’s an infectious thing, if we get or suspect anyone, we put them in a holding room, talk to them and call for the Covid-19 team to come and evacuate them but of course, three private hospitals has been approved to treat Covid-19 in Ikeja, Lekki. and Ikoyi’’

While appreciating the Guild’s magnanimity, the Permanent Secretary of the state’s ministry of health, Dr. Olusegun Ogboye explained that the Medical Body has done excellently well by donating the materials that are of serious need to the state.

Furthermore, he advised Lagos residents to keep to the rules by the covid-19 team because the virus is still very much around.

‘’To tell the truth, no matter how many Isolation Centers we build, we can’t have enough to take care of everybody that is positive in Lagos. We will be needing private facilities, although there are certain requirements to be met to be able to admit covid-19.

It’s a good thing they are doing today, joining us in our own response and providing some materials we need.

Things are not okay yet, there are lots of infections going on, people are dying, let’s keep to all the rules, Covid-19 Is still out there, it’s still going to be around for a little while’’.
