Ahmadiyya Centenary Celebration: Over 820 People Get Free Drugs

As part of the celebration of its 100 years in Nigeria and 127 years of existence in the World, Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at has doled out thousands of drugs during her ‘Walk For Peace and Health For Life’ programme.

The programme, organized by her Nigeria LAJNA IMAILLAH (Women Servants of Allah) started from Ijaye Bus-stop and ended at Abule-Egba area of Ijaye-ojokoro, Lagos State, South-west, Nigeria.

The ‘Health For Life’ which is 2-day health talk program with lots of tests like Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar Level, Malaria, HIV-AIDS was done at the Palace of First Jagunmolu of Ojokoro land, His Royal Majesty, Oba Rilwan Oluwalambe on Friday 15th and Saturday,16th April, 2016.

Tests conducted on people included optical test, dental care, body weight and general health consultancy among others.

Drugs were also administered on over eight hundred and twenty (820) people who required to be given drugs after proper tests conducted on them by professional doctors.

One of the beneficiaries, a 82 year old woman, Mrs Helen Adeniyi, who spoke exclusively with conquestmagazine.com commended Ahmadiyya for organising the free medical health care and enjoined other Muslim and Christian organizations to emulate this program in other to extend health care to others. “I commended Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at for organising this kind of free medical health care program which I have benefited a lot from this programme with free tests and drugs”, said Mrs Adeniyi.

She added, “I will like to advice all other religion organizations both Christianity and Islamic organizations to emulate this free health care program.

Another beneficiary Alhaji Jimoh Ibraheem who is 76 year old said he wasn’t aware of the program, until he saw one of the kids going home with lots of drug. “I was not aware of the free medical health care program by Ahmadiyya, until I saw one of the kid passing by with drugs that was how I got aware of it”, Ibraheem said.
